125 g softened unsalted or salted butter 125 g caster sugar 125 g ground almonds 3 medium eggs 1 tsp almond of a good quality extract
Method
"Cream" or whisk the butter and sugar (on high speed of mixer for 10 minutes) until pale white and fluffy, add the ground almonds, mix to combine. Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, and finally the almond extract. Optional, add stoned cherries (150 gr) onto the bottom of the tart, spread evenly. Add frangipan mixture, spread, bake for 30 minutes @ 200C (180C fan assisted).
