Meatballs (Lithuanian)
Ingredients
750 gr 20% fat minced pork
1 large onion
1 clove of garlic
1-1 1/2 barm cakes
2 eggs
4-5 sprigs of dill
1.5 tsp salt
1.5 tsp dry marjoram
1.5 tsp ground black pepper
Method
To the minced pork, add salt, margoram, pepper and mix to season the meat.
Using a mini processor zap onions, garlic, dill. Incorporate this into the meat mix.
Zap barm cake into crumbs. Add this and the eggs to the mix. Incorporate all ingredients together.
Divide into equal balls around 85-100g each.
Preaheat the oven to 180C fan assisted.
Bake for around 30-35 minutes or until cooked and look golden brown on the top.
Best served with the white creamy dill sauce.
