Ingredients
2 red onions 25 g butter 2 tsp sugar 1 tbsp flour 300 ml beef stock (Knorrcube) 200 ml red wine (Merlot French)
Method
Slice an onion. Over low heat, melt butter and add onions, cover with the lid and simmer for about 10 minutes or until softened. Sprinkle sugar over the top and continue frying until golden but nor burnt. Sprinkle flour, fry for one minute. Add gradually beef stock and red wine, let it thicken, boil until of a desired consistency. Season with salt to taste. P.S. It takes 40 minutes to make.
