Sloppy Giuseppe Mix (for Pizza Topping)

Ingredients

This is topping for Sloopy Giuseppe Pizza

Recipe is enough for 6 pizzas

Ingredients:
50-100mls olive oil
6 cloves garlic
750g minced beef
2 green peppers (3 if small) deseeded and diced
2 med/lge red onion peeled and finely diced
150mls passatta
3 tspn Italian mixed herbs
1 1/2 1/2 tspn salt
1 1/2 tspn paprika
1 1/2 tspn cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tspn ground cumin

Method

Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over med-high heat. Add garlic and fry for a minute or so, until turning golden colour, do not let it burn. Add minced beef and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking ut up with a wooden spoon or spatula as it cooks. Contine until it is browned and any water evaporated.

Add green pepper and onion and stir for a few minutes over the heat, then add passatta, herbs, salt and spices, mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.

Once cooled divide into 6 equal portions (1 for each pizza). It is fine to freeze individually and defrost one each time it is needed.
